All my life I was the kind of manWho'd leave the two in the bush
and take the one in my hand;
I settled too quickly and moved on too fast,
I knew no situation that I wanted to last.
I met a few friends that I wanted for keeps,
But the law says a man who doesn't
sow never reaps;
So I embraced the joys that came easy to me,
And never searched for the man
I had potential to be.
I let time pass me by, laughing at life,
Now I sit here alone, paying the price;
The price is too high, that I know now,
But it's too late to change it, even if I knew how.
